The beautiful grounds of Dogwood Animal Hospital, allowing it to be a camera site for the Dogwood Arts Festival, are maintained by Dr. Mac.

Dr_Ruth_Sloan.jpgRuth Sloan McLeod, DVM, was born in Florida, but raised right here in Knoxville. She volunteered for Dr. Howard Mynatt and Dr Hillary Randolph in Halls while completing her undergraduate veterinary requirements at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After 3 years in NC, she returned to Knoxville to oversee the construction of Dogwood Animal Hospital. After opening the clinic in January of 1988, she has practiced continuously at that location. She is currently part-time at the hospital, as she also is the clinic manager during other working hours. She and Dr McLeod have been married 27 years and have two daughters. They share their home with Pixie the cat and Evie the human standard poodle.
